Deer processing in Wyoming County
Wyoming County has 2 deer processors in this directory, spread across 2 towns: Factoryville and Monroe Twp. Shops with Google reviews here average 5.0 stars, above the statewide 4.6. Few of these shops have Google reviews yet, so ask other hunters at camp or call and ask about turnaround.
Wright's Cut-Up Deer Processing and NEPA Deer Processing take Hunters Sharing the Harvest donations. None of these shops is on the PGC cooperating processor list. Under the 2026-27 CWD rules you don't need one, since any shop can take your deer as long as high-risk parts go out with the trash. That's 100% of local shops in HSH, against 36% statewide. No shop here advertises after-hours drop-off, so plan to arrive during business hours or keep the deer cold overnight.
None of these shops publish a full service list online, so ask about snack sticks, bologna and vacuum sealing when you call. None of these listings mention bear or elk, so call first if you have one. None of these processors list prices online; most quote a flat base rate plus extras for sausage, sticks and caping.
Wyoming County is in the PGC's Northeast Region. Region at a glance: The Poconos and Endless Mountains, from the Lehigh Valley north to the New York line. If every cooler here is full, neighboring Luzerne, Lackawanna, Susquehanna and Sullivan counties have 12 listed processors between them. If you want your deer tested for CWD, ask the shop to save the head, or drop it at a free PGC head bin.

Drop-off checklist
- Tag it right away. Tag the deer immediately after harvest and before you move it. The tag goes on the ear and stays there until the deer is processed.
- Field dress and cool fast. Remove entrails, drain the cavity and get the deer cold. In warm weather, pack the cavity with bagged ice.
- High-risk parts go in the trash. New for 2026-27: you can move a deer anywhere, but once it leaves the kill site the head, backbone and spleen must go out with commercial trash. A processor handles that for you.
- Report within 10 days. Online, by phone at 1-800-838-4431, or with the digest report card.
Hunters Sharing the Harvest
Drop a legally harvested deer at a participating processor and the venison goes to Pennsylvania food banks. Program sponsors usually cover the processing; confirm with the shop.
